International capacity building for SEL : 60 youth from 27 countries
In the run up to the World Youth Conference on Kindness, UNESCO MGIEP brought together 60 youth from 27 countries for a three-day-long capacity building workshop on Social and Emotional Learning. Some of the themes the workshops were included: Compassionate Integrity, Prevention of Violent Extremism, Understanding Kindness, Media Literacy, Social Media for Social Good. Our founder, Anokhi Parikh was one of the global youth representing India.
Declaration drafting committee 2019 and the formation of the Global Youth Alliance on Kindness at the UNESCO MGIEP World Youth Conference 2019
Our co-founder, Anokhi Parikh, was part of the team drafting the first version of the world’s first declaration on kindness.
The New Delhi Declaration is a synthesis of 1,200+ youth voices from 117 countries; meticulously substantiated and summarised by the 60 youth participants from 27 countries. During the closing ceremony, the two youth participants who represented the 1200+ youth voices presented the Declaration, which was unanimously adopted by the audience gathered at the Conference. The second edition of the World Youth Conference on Kindness celebrated the importance of ‘kindness’ during the global pandemic as thousands of youth from around the world called upon the United Nations’ Member States to declare an International Day of Kindness for Humanity.
Our Founder, Anokhi Parikh was one of the speakers at the launch of the Compassionate Integrity Training SDL version along with Micheal Karlin, Founder and creator of the CIT program, Abel Caine, UNESCO MGIEP and youth leader Anum Mulla.
